The Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Logistics and Materiel Readiness) will sponsor a fourth industry meeting on April 3-4, 2007 to continue to execute their DoD RFID Policy.  The DoD RFID Policy establishes policy for the use of RFID within the DoD and initiates a strategy to take maximum advantage of the inherent life-cycle asset management efficiencies that can be realized with integration of RFID throughout DoD.

IDentiTRAK speaking at UT Military Packaging & RFID Seminar

The UT Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) will be hosting the Military Packaging & RFID Seminar.  This event will focus on an introduction to DOD's packaging specifications.  Points of interest will include: A review of packaging and marking requirement specific to DOD contracts and solicitations, location and interpretation of packaging specifications, info on packaging materials, hazardous material concerns, and an update of RFID requirements and implementation strategies.  The conference will be held at three locations in TN.

IDentiTRAK speaking at UT CIS - Is RFID In Your Future?
Knoxville, TN
– March 6, 2007 

The UT Center for Industrial Services will be hosting "Is RFID In Your Future?" workshop.  This event will provide an overview of RFID Technology and its capabilities.  Discussions include the benefits of implementing an RFID system and the common technologies used in business applications.  The class focus will be to introduce ways to take advantage of RFID to improve convenience, accuracy, safety and security.  A hands-on RFID simulation kit will help attendees see the technology in action.  The conference will be held in Knoxville, TN (Followed by Nashville, TN March 8 & Memphis, TN March 15th - IDentiTRAK will only attend the Knoxville event).

111th FMG/FAA/AFTRCC Conference (NASA)

The Aerospace and Flight Test Radio Coordinating Council "AFTRCC", founded in 1954, is a not for profit organization of Radio Frequency Management Representatives from major aerospace companies.  This will be a joint conference with the Range Commanders Council Frequency Management Group (RCC-FMG) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  The focus of AFTRCC conference is to advance the arts and sciences of radio communications, and the efficient allocation and utilization of the electromagnetic spectrum, in connection with the flight testing of aircraft, missiles and major components thereof. Also, it serves to protect and promote the interests of the aerospace manufacturing industry in the availability of suitable radio frequency resources, and in the formulation of rules and policies relating to the usage of the electromagnetic spectrum.
